Hi, I’m Farah

The first thing to know about me is I love this work: making a difference, helping people find a new approach, and doing a great job. I approach projects and my quality of life with high standards. You can expect me to work hard and celebrate our wins together.

I have a global perspective and personal experience that drive my passion for advancing change at the systemic level while enabling the success of individuals and communities. I thrive within the intersection of people, policy, and law—and have built high-impact teams by creating and implementing scalable approaches to complex challenges. I approach projects and collaborations with integrity, care, and the spirit of the people of your community.

My desire to learn and my diverse interests have helped develop my expansive professional background. I’ve worked in government affairs at the local, state, and federal levels; most recently, I helped to transform the civilian police oversight system in Austin, Texas. I’ve also worked in higher education as a chief student affairs officer and adjunct faculty.

As a licensed attorney, I’ve worked on cases and projects as far ranging as real estate to criminal defense and child welfare. I have been able to leverage the experience and expertise I’ve gained from all my roles to bring a new perspective when approaching challenges, and deliver results for my clients.

As much as I love doing this work, I love to play, too. My life is bolstered by the joy I get from my son, my family, our Haitian culture, and my two dogs, Emmett and Oliver. I appreciate a good joke, and am known for my clever and sharp wit. I absolutely love tennis— the physical and mental aspects of it—and look forward to finding a league to play competitively again.
